Devotional: Temples, Chapels, Altars, Shrines, and Tchotchkes

Today we talk about shrines and altars!

Shrines and altars are used interchangeably, but they are different. Altars are we work. They change depending on what tools and works we need. Shrines, however, stay the same.

My altar is both shrine and altar in a weird way. There are things that are always present, but I add things depending on the working I do. You can see my altar in the image at the beginning of the post. The white candle in the middle is a candle spell I’ve got going on at the moment. I’ll post it later.

Do you have an altar? A shrine? What’s on your altar or shrine?

I love half-moon tables such as the one you show here. I keep a single candle on mine in the corner of our living room. Candle season is coming soon, when the days get shorter. I’m enjoying your site very much. Thank you.
