My Transcript

Updated: October 30th, 2014

My Beginnings:

I was raised Catholic. I lost faith in a Christian God by seventh grade. I was 12. I was atheist for a while, until a friend of mine brought Teen Witch by Silver Ravenwolf to school one day. I borrowed it, but made the mistake of reading it in front of my parents. We had the “You know this stuff isn’t real, right?” talk, and I was ordered to return the book. Instead, I kept the book in my locker, and read it only at school. It opened up a whole new world of discovery for me. I had never really known there was a whole set of beliefs and philosophy centered on the Earth and nature. I was hooked, and could not get enough information. It’s been that way ever since. My most defining moment, I remember, was in the spring during high school. I was walking home from school, and saw a blooming flower. I don’t know what it was about this flower, but I stopped and looked closer. I was overwhelmed by a sudden sense of majesty. It was beautiful. It was magical. It. Was. Alive. I’ve never doubted since then. There is a power in everything, if you only have the desire to see and embrace it.

Personal Exploration:

Mostly I  have just read. I have always been very hesitant to ever produce a practical application of what I’ve read. I’d like to change that. I’d like to find the courage to not only dream, but to do.
